Mobility, Posture, and Ergonomics

I am a big believer that our habitual postural and movement patterns are often the at root of repetitive overuse injuries and nagging chronic aches and pains.  While manual bodywork can be effective at addressing the symptoms and consequences of these habits, I also like to empower my clients to make lasting changes to their bodies by helping them address any potentially dysfunctional or inefficient movement patterns, and in doing so build healthy new habits.

One of my primary goals in working with my clients is to help them map out their bodies by offering targeted cues, imagery, and learning to use simple tools and external feedback to find and maintain optimal technique.
